In 1984, Steve Wright started Granite Reef Service Center, with the vision of a business built on honesty, integrity, customer satisfaction, and quality automotive service.

Steve has over 50 years of experience in the automotive industry and is known as one of the very best in the business. He is not your typical business owner, as you will find him under the hood on any given day, tackling the tough jobs.  He started working in automotive repair as a teenager in rural Nebraska.  He later moved to Phoenix in 1980 and opened the first location of Granite Reef Service Center in 1984.  Granite Reef Service Center originally was located on the northwest corner of Granite Reef & McDowell Roads, along with a couple temporary locations nearby.  In 1995, Steve purchased the lot on the southeast corner of Granite Reef and McDowell, and then built the Eight Bay Automotive Building that exists today.  The current location of Granite Reef Service Center held its’ Grand Opening in 1997.   Steve takes great pride in his business and strives to always provide 100% customer satisfaction at a fair price.  We look forward to servicing your vehicle and hope you’ll stop by to say “Hi!”
